out of time

2005-08-28 at 12:12 a.m.

There are 168 hours in a week. Minus 36 hours spent at school (31 hours of classes, 5 lunch breaks). Minus 15 hours of bus travel every week. Minus, let's say 7 hours of getting ready for school/work. Minus 15 hours of piano practice which I am supposed to get in if I want to pass my end-of-term exam. Minus, let's say about 14 hours of homework (two hours a day, and I'm actually being realistic). Minus 56 hours of sleep if I want to keep my sanity. Minus about 11 hours of work, if I keep working two shifts a week. And that means 4 hours a week of travel to get to work and back.

That leaves me with 10 hours. A mere 10 hours a week to myself to read, watch my favourite TV shows, clean my room, organize my shit, go out, have fun with my sisters once in a while, be a teenager, enjoy being 18 (soon), be irresponsible, try to maintain some sort of social contact with the outside world ...

I bought myself a day planner today, to plan my days. Hopefully it will work out.
