the boys are back in town

I am three pounds away from my goal of 150! But you all don't care right? You all want to know what happened last night at the movies with the boy.

Okay, so I had assumed that it was just gonna be me and him, and I was super nervous about it, but then I got to the theatre and there were a bunch of guys I knew in high school! They all seemed happy to see me, which is good I guess, since I always thought they only liked me because I was their friend's girlfriend. We had fun, we went to see "Hitch", which was okay in a corny sort of way (and incredibly awkward to watch while sitting next to your ex-boyfriend, let me tell you)

The best part was when someone asked me if I had lost weight because I looked great! You would not believe how happy that made me, I was smiling the rest of the night. I don't think I've ever gotten such a nice compliment from a guy.

And after the movies it was just like highschool all over again. Except with more cars. We all raced to the cars (where I got to have a nice catching-up talk with my friend Dan), and we zipped over to Starbucks to see ...

The boy's new girlfriend. And her friend. It was awkward but bearable cause we didn't stay that long. He introduced me as "my friend Cam", and she kind of looked at him like "why are you riding around town on a Friday night with all your guy friends and this one girl?" I'm hoping she felt threatened, because that reinforces the fact that I am HOT. But anyways, I just said hi, I didn't really talk to her, and it would've been even weirder if I had told her I was his ex, so I didn't. I'm pretty sure he slipped up and called her "Cam" at some point, although when she asked him what he had just said he told her he accidentally said "Pam", the name of a girl who stalks him at school.

Yeah. Right. Anyways.

After that we all went to Peter's house, sort of the communal meeting place of this group of guys, and hung out for a while. Then I beat the boy into submission and made him drive me home, halfway across town. HA!

All around, a good night. I laughed a lot, I felt like I was in highschool again, it was wonderful. I'm glad too, cause it could've been disatrous.
